"On June 28- 2007- Craig Biggio became the 27th player in the history of Major League Baseball to join the 3000 hit club- with a single against Colorado Rockies pitcher Aaron Cook. Biggio became the first Astros player to hit 3000 while on the team. With 661 doubles- he is currently in 6th place on the all-time list- and is currently on pace to pass Hall of Famer George Brett (5th place with 665) by the end of the 2007 season.
